Backlog September 2011. Clear amber body with some floaters under a small off-white head. Aroma has caramel malt, dry fruit and vinous alcohol. Taste is sweet malt, caramel, dry fruit, brown sugar and warming alcohol. Fine body with long lasting aftertaste. Nice, strong Belgium beer.

Bottle @ home. Clear, deep amber body under a small, fast disappearing beige head. Fantastic aroma, extremely complex, dark malt, chocolate, dry fruit, red wine, wood, tobacco, port, vanilla, leather, lovely and warning alcohol. Taste lives up to aroma, sweet, smoothly roasted dark malt, chocolate, dry fruit, wood, red wine, leather, spices, warming alcohol, balanced bitterness. Perfectly balanced body, really balanced and complex, not too sweet, fine and warming alcohol. Dangerously easy drinkable and still a sipper to be enjoyed over a really long time. Amazing well made beer.

Can @ home. Clear, deep amber body under a fading tan head. Aroma is smooth roasted, dark malt with a hint of dark chocolate. Taste is smooth and balanced with medium sweet, soft roasted dark malt, hint of chocolate and coffee, moderate bitterness. Medium body with smooth aftertaste. Well made, very easy drinkable, classic stout. Nice.

Backlog September 2011. Amber body under a moderate sized off-white head. Lovely aroma of malt, caramel, spices and brown sugar. Tasate is sweet malt, dry fruit, dark fruit, slightly spicy and moderate bitterness. Fine body with a smooth aftertaste. Nice and tasty with well hidden alcohol.

Backlog September 2011. Golden body under a huge, creamy white head. Aroma is spicy and a bit soapy. Taste is sweet malt, spicy with light fruit. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Not a big hit by me.

Backlog September 2011. Slightly unclear orange golden body under an off-white head. Mild fruity aroma, canned apricot and peaches, slightly spicy. Taste is sweet and fruity, malt, caramel, cane sugar, canned fruit like aroma and spicy Belgium yeast. Medium body and average aftertaste. A bit dull actually, but fair enough drinkable.

Backlog September 2011. Amber body with a few floaters under a disappearing off-white head. Some caramel malt and dry fruit in aroma. Taste is sweet and malty with caramel, dry fruit, slightly spicy, Belgium yeast and hint of cellar notes. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. Nice one, but not as god as the bigger brothers.

Backlog September 2011. Pale golden body under a white head. Aroma has malt, grain, hint of bread and otherwise rather typical macro lager aroma. Taste is slightly on the sweeter side with malt, moderate bitterness and again typical macro lager flavor. Medium body with same aftertaste. Decent but nothing extraordinary.
