For me one proper and honest beer review is more worth than 100 ticks without any relevant content. It’s all about respect for the beer and the craftmanship behind. I will always try to do my best for a proper rating than playing the number game.

Bottle @ home. Slightly unclear reddish amber body under a small, lacing beige head. Aroma has malt, oak, red berries, some dry fruit and red wine. Taste has sweet malt in fine combination with acidic red berries, oak, hint of caramel, more acid and vinous. Balanced body, nice fruit and acid with a slight bitter finish. Nice and pleasant with complexity.

Can @ home. Slightly unclear pale golden body under a white head. Refreshing hop aroma and the first sips feels nice as well. Further down the glass thew beer feels a bit boring, most of the impression from this beer is just the aroma. Not much body and not much taste either. Smells god, but it’s a bit much for me to drink the whole can by myself. Nothing going on really after the first two sips.

Bottle @ home. Pitch black body under a moderate sized beige head. Aroma hos quite much alcohol, I guessed Aquavit but the label says Armagnac. Aroma has also dark roasted malt, oak, chocolate and hint of vanilla. Taste is boozy as well, but in a nice way, especially when prepared for this within a 14,5% ABV beer! Quite smooth dark, roasted medium sweet malt, balancing bitterness, dark chocolate, oak and hint of vanilla. Fine body with a long lasting, alcoholic warming aftertaste. A rather boozy stout, but made the way Nøgne makes wonderful flavors appears. I actually had this for dinner (chicken) instead of desert, and it worked out just nicely. A beer that will probably benefit from a year or more in the cellar.

Can @ home. Clear pale golden body under a small white head. Aroma of lemon juice. Taste is mostly lemon juice, not too sweet and not very acidic. Only a weak impression of beer. Not great as a Radler but very refreshing and nice ad a thirst quencher after working in the garden.

Backlog October 2013. Clear golden body under a small, fast disappearing white head. Aroma is quite fruity with some spicy Belgian yeast. Taste is rather sweet but smooth malt, hint of toffee, slightly fruity and spicy with low bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste.

Tap @ Melkebaren. Slightly unclear reddish golden body under a small, spotting white head with some lacing. Aroma of acidic raspberry and red berries candy. Taste is medium acidic, red berries, raspberry, candy and a faint hint of licorices (hockey powder). Not very acidic and not too much candy, quite refreshing.
