This could not look more like ass. It looks like it's going to be a fucking butterbomb, if I'm being honest. Doesn't smell like it, though. Woody, leathery tilquin character, moderate grape on the nose. Lighter body, the lambic is stronger than the grape. So, a solid Tilquin. Just pardon the appearance.

Gerry didn't let his can sit long enough. That's because this frothed up big time when I opened and I knew exactly what had happened - brett infection. Now it has a really nice brett IPA aroma, nice floral hops and quality brett b on that. On the palate, it's brett forward, with plenty of bitterness. Muted hop aromatics, but also it seems like a decent amount of malt has been chewed through. It feels a bit yeasty and messy but honestly, this is a solid brett DIPA. Not the first time an accidental brett IPA was pretty good.

Bright, relatively dark amber colour. Medium head. There's lots of caramel malt notes. Not sure, maybe a hibiscusy kind of note, but that could be the power of floral suggestion at work. Sweetish character. Similar vague floral note on the palate. It's okay. Good body for the style. Maybe a bit too macro-vienna for me overall.

Doesn't look great, a murkish pale tan gueuze. Smells good, though, nice and leathery, classic horseblanket, hay. On the palate, this is really dry, with a moreish tartness. It's pretty complex, tilquiny, leaning into the farm stuff but with some dried floral hop notes and more tartness than some of the classic gueuzes. Excellent.

Dark brown, not much head. Pours a bit thin. Has a nice Mexican chocolate nose. On the palate, it's quite sweet, sugary. Lots of cinnamon and light chile. The rum definitely adds a sort of butterscotchy rounded sugar accent to it; maybe not my favourite barrel because it makes it maybe a bit too sweet. I can see how something similar, but more layered, like a sherry-ba tequila, might work provide a similar effect but better. Still, it's not bad.

Medium brown-black colour with a fairly thick head. The aroma on this has a coffee note, maybe a whiff of smoke. Medium body, fairly dry in the finish, which brings out that coffeeish complexity. Only a little bit of residual sugar, but it's pretty well balanced. Pretty well made, if you think of it more like a dry black ale...I don't really think this captures what a good lager should feel like but it's a solid beer.

Hazy pale amber. Fairly thick head. Classic pog taste, some creaminess, light kettle acidity. It's fine for what it is.

From the work fridge. Dull goldish colour. Worty and magical. Barely any hops, maybe a touch of perceived bitterness in the finish. It’s pretty innocuous; I don’t hate it.
