Slightly hazy pale purple. Fresh vinous nose. Effervescent, but also a big grape character, nice dryness but also some tartness.

Dark brown. Sort of a dark chocolate, with a bit of fruit. A decent amount of bourbon on this as well. On the palate, nice umami, roast, meaty character. Soft. Some alcohol and the bourbon is restrained.

Dark brown. No head. This is grapey, cognac, really intensely vinous aroma on this. Medium body, nothing crazy. Actually a bit light for this style. A bit of fruitiness. Some alcohol, woody depth...but they have really optimized for fruitiness and the bourbon just sort of lends an accent to that. Intense, and arguably lacks balance.

Dark brown. No head. Ok, that is a really nice aroma - toasty coffee, light vanilla and cacao for accent, along with dark sugars. On the palate, lots of sugars, some sweet chocolate, and the coffee slides in late with toastiness but there's also a lot of vanilla in there as well. It's not subtle in any of this. Finishes with a lot of coffee. Just weird that there's no real barrel character here.

Pale, more like watermelon looking than tomato looking. The aroma is, well, there's tomato, celery, garlic, there's going to be some tartness in there. It's definitely entertaining. Similar palate. Saline, tart, some chile, celery, tomato, and lots of tomato. It's balanced, as this concept goes. Do I know what to make of this? No. Am I having fun drinking? Absolutely.

Light brown, looks thin. Smells like a thin barley wine. On the palate, it's decent, but has a bit of sugars. Not sugar I get a lot of the scotch on here. The marsala is actually more likely. OK, objectively, it's okay as a beer, but as a barley wine it's thin and simple, and the barrel isn't adding much if anything to the expression.

Dull-looking. Any other style and I'd be docking it points for this shit. The aroma is predominantly leathery, maybe a little bit of lemon. On the palate, really interesting. Low carb for a gueuze, but a bright lemony, citrus, then some wood in the finish. A touch of brett and moderate tartness. Big leathery finish, quite tart.
