Oakes Profile - Brewver

Quite pale but dull and murky-looking. Thin head. Bright hop but krush just has that candy/bubblegum thing that quite franky requires far more bitterness to be effective. Weak malts, too.

Purplish colour. Some butryic, the fruits are okay but that’s almost stinging my eyes. Yeah, more off notes from the ferm.

Dark amber. Bright. Aroma is mainly pears, the palate has a lot of richness. Nice richness, pear, good acidic bite. Good complexity, great flavour. Comparable to the Raven Ridge...I have only had a few iced perries but the concept just keeps working for me.

Medium brown. No head. Smells like it's going to be thin, and a bit boozy, with light caramel. On the palate is a ton of caramel, good bitterness, it's not bad. The caramel is more artificial than I prefer, which detracts from the overall presentation. It's not awful but is leaving some quality on the table.

Slight haze, a bit of acetaldehyde. Yeah, this one is an appley, buttery mess. Meh, fuck that.
