Bottle: Dark brownish-red with a lasting head. Fruity aroma with a pleasantly lingering bitter taste, and a warm afterglow.

A small backstreet pub that has grown into a live music venue. There's a good selection of local beers, but if music isn't your thing it's best to go shortly after opening time at about 4pm. Quite hard to find, it's on the "wrong side" of the dual carriageway from the town.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A cola brown pour with a fast fading beige head; aroma of toasted malts; taste of toasted malts with a nice bitterness from the roasting, followed by some thin chocolate syrup; then some hops adding more bitterness to the finish. Perhaps more a mild than a porter.

]33cl can from a mixed pack bought at my local Co-op.] A hazy pale amber pour with a close white head; malty aroma; malty taste with some orange; then a bitter orange finish. Rather average.
