DavrosIX Profile - Brewver (Dev)

Pint in the other village local alongside an absolutely enormous burger. Night out with the youngest and it was great fun. This is a straight down the line best bitter. Magnificent head, lots of rich malts and some balancing bitterness. Really good and really well kept.

Bottle pinched from my mother's house. Good pour, good head and a sharp aroma. The taste is spiky sharp hops and doesn't really do it for me. Drinkable but not actively unpleasant.

This was the last of the evening tasting and was paired with a strawberry goo in a rock hard pastry case. It wasn't great and neither was this beer. If you are into barley wines then you would probably love this, but I really didn't dig it. All too much and everyone else on the table agreed.

Had this in the brewery alongside a second course of cod with peas. My Icelandic friend said it was caught 7 to 8 days ago, but I still thought it was tasty. Anyway, the beer was good, very refined and subtle on the palate.

Had this at the Carlsberg brewery paired with a first course of beetroot with some rather delicious sauces. They blurred, hence the lack of detail. This was a very subtle wheat beer, all there but with the volume turned down.

Had this on a rather lovely Carlsberg brewery tour following an all day conference on site. This was the first beer of the tour, which was bold, and I had no idea what to expect. And...... this wasn't great. An odd mix of rich sourness that really didn't float my boat.
