750ml bottle (c&c).2017 bottling. Pours a clear 24k gold color with a smallish white head that soon disappears. The aroma is big with fresh peaches, vanilla and some brett. The taste is sour peaches, light smoke, vanilla and oak. The palate is medium. Finishes long and sour/tart with a trace of smoke. Overall: This is a very sour beer, and a very nice one. I would have liked more smoke character--but that's a minor complaint.

Pint Can. Pours an opaque black with a huge khaki head that has good retention. The aroma is dominated by spicy noble hop[s and some roasted malts. The taste is roasted nuts, blackened malts, and a good noble hop character. The palate is full and creamy with very soft carbonation. Finished long and dry. Overall: Decent Schwarzbier, best I've had in a long time.

12oz can. Dark brown pour with a monster sized khaki colored head. The aroma strong with roasted malts and a bit of spice. The taste, like the aroma, is well roasted malts, pecans, and a bit of bitter walnut. The palate was somewhat thin and the carbonation was lively. Finished short and dry. Overall: Tasty and goes down easy.

375ml bottle. Pours a bronze-gold color. Aroma is mild with honey and, nutmeg and faint bourbon barrel. The taste is very similar to the aroma. The nutmeg creates a slight numbing sensation on the lips and palate. There is a bit of oak barrel in the taste. But, its the honey that dominates. The mouthfeel is full and viscous. Finishes long and sticky sweet--almost cloying. Overall: Just Lovely

Bottle 187ml, Batch 1. Pours a deep dark purple color. The aroma was mild and understated with berries and honey and that gave little warning to the intense flavors that would follow. The taste featured robust berries, a bit of pomegranate, and some tannins. The acidity was quite high giving this a very tart explosion on the palate. Honey sweetness was well offset by the tartness. The palate was full and coated the mouth well. Finished long and glorious with lingering tart berries. Overall: A masterpiece. Paired well with an estate gouda.

Pint can. pours a dark brown--almost black--color with a medium sized tan head that soon vanishes. The aroma is roasted (blackened) grains and perhaps a bit of coffee. the taste is similar to the nose, lots of well roasted grains. bit of coffee and some black walnuts. Palate was on the lighter side and the carbonation soft. Finished medium in duration and dry. Overall: Decent for a dry stout, but also quite forgettable.

The taste mirrors the aroma with grapefruit and pine. Palate is full and crisp with soft carbonation. Finishes short with mild grapefruit. Overall: Decent, very quaffable.
