AROMA: medium-high hop aroma with notes of grapefruit, tropical fruit. low soft, slightly sweet, and neutral malt background. APPEARANCE: pale yellow and hazy. medium white head, creamy with a bit below style-average retention. TASTE: initial medium-low hop flavor (grapefruit, slight pine and tropical fruit). medium-low to low malt background, neutral and slightly sweet. medium to medium-high bitterness with an semi-dry to dry finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium to medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an ok NEIPA.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 34B: strong 7.5% / 2A). Bottle 75 cl - Batch L2P20242 (BB: 01.2026). AROMA: medium to medium-high cereal aroma with malty-sweet notes. low herbaceous hop notes. APPEARANCE: light yellow color and hazy. medium white head, creamy, with good retention. TASTE: initial medium-low malty-sweet notes with low diacetyl. some faint fruity esters. hop flavor absent. medium bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. MOUTHFELL: medium body with medium carbonation. alcoholic warmth but not hot. slight astringency. OVERALL: a "strong lager" with more interesting aroma and a bit underwhelming flavor (and some off-flavours).

AROMA: medium-low to low wet grain husk and low sulphur that dissipates. medium caramel-like overall aroma. APPEARANCE: deep amber color and clear. medium beige head, creamy, with ok retention. lace formation. TASTE: medium malt flavor with overall caramel character and slight toasted notes. medium-high bitterness with a dry and somewhat yeasty finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium body with medium carbonation. alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a dunkel beer with added figs but where the base beer requires work.

AROMA: medium malty-sweet neutral aroma with wet grain husk of the same intensity. slight vegetal note. APPEARANCE: yellow color with small particles in suspension but not hazy. medium-low white head with low to no retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium neutral-sweet malt, grain husk and slight vegetal flavor. medium-low bitterness with a dry and slightly bitter finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium carbonation. slight astringency. OVERALL: a bohemian pilsener with some execution problems.

Bottle 33 cl - Batch 260 (BB: 010626) AROMA: medium-high lemony-like aroma with medium cinnamon on the background. very faint peppery phenols. APPEARANCE: deep gold to light amber and clear. low white head with low retention. slight lace formation. TASTE: initial medium-high cinnamon and low lemony (ginger) that overpowers belgian strain fermentation by-products. medium bitterness with a dry and yeasty finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium body with low carbonation. alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a spiced tripel where the spices overpower everything else. needs more carbonation.
