Grew up in England and developed a taste for English ales. Traveled a lot to Belgium and surrounding countries and grew to appreciate these European styles. Traveled to USA a fair bit, starting in the dark days when it was a beer desert, and then enjoying the flourishing microbrewery scene. Moved in 1994 to Australia which was then a beer desert, so grew to appreciate the excellent Aussie wines and my own homebrew. Now there is a flourishing microbrewery scene in Aus, which is great. I travel a lot to Asia, which was generally grim for beer, although with some interesting pockets of excellence there if you looked hard; but now several countries have good craft beers.

(Can) Pours hazy golden yellow with small white head. Fruity aroma with notes of lemon and watermelon. Maybe some pepper spice hints. Medium body with nice soft carbonation. Fruity taste, citrusy with watermelon notes. Neither tart nor sweet. Pepper spice from mid palate. Hint of bitterness. Some bread hints. Unusual. Easy drinking. A bit odd.

Unusual and interesting vibe - probably once a slaughterhouse. Tiled and low ceiling but open and light with large outdoor space. 20+ beers on tap, all their own. The two I had were excellent. It is very much an eatery too, although I didn’t try the food. So more of a bar restaurant than a beer bar, but nevertheless a huge beer selection. Staff friendly. The queue for ordering was long but moved fairly quickly. Nice place, well worth visiting. A bit expensive (but pretty much everything in Copenhagen seems expensive).
