Can bought at Hogs Back Brewery Shop. An attractive light toffee brown. Somewhat hazy. Thick foamy light beige head. The aroma combines herbal hops with caramel. Initial light caramel. Sweet but not overly so. Chewy. The hops then come through. Resinous. Herbal. A tickle of restrained yet tart citrus. That cheey sweet and infact slightly smokey caramel makes a reappearance. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Soft carbonation with a gentle fizz. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Hits the spot.

Can bought at Elusive. An opaque copper gold. Foamy white head soon thins out and goes translucent. Aroma is resinous, with added sawdust. Peripheral marmalade citrus and spice. Punchy resinous bitterness. Tart citrus in the mix. Gooseberries. Underlying malts are more prominent into the finish. Some marmalade and juice laying low as a pay off. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Yeah. What I want in a Westie.

Can bought at The Brewers Tap, Southsea. Pale light orange. Foamy white head. Aroma has citrus and stone fruit. Light resin bitterness. Getting it in my gob, it is again fruity, juicy. Sweet citrus with a sour edge. Resinous and woody (i am thinking acacia) bitter streak. Spice. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Pithy. Flat-soft carbonation. Long rather dry and slightly astringent finish. Good juicy NEIPA.

Can from Bury Lane Farm Shop. Slightly opaque gols. Thick frothy foamy white head. Aroma is light but doughy. Underlying sweetness. Peripheral metallic streak. Citrusy with an underlying sugary sweetness. A bitterness comes through- dry hops, herbal, slightly metallic. Doughy malts more evident into the finish. Light. Thin. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Slips down in a simply but unmemorable way. But no problem whilst frying chorizo.
