I am sure I wrote a review of this place at the time but it must not have saved properly. It's in a presumably victorian redbrick building that has been refurbished into seperate units. The entrance faces away from.thenroad so I ended up doing a circuit of the building trying to find my way in, after the taxi driver dropped me off on the wrong side. Quite a large interior with what appears to be second hand furniture. An array of their beers on tap plus a fridge with guest beers ans ciders. It wasn't particularly busy. One person turned up to buy beers to take away and a few people came into see if the rugby was on. Kinda typical brewry tap. Friendly guy on sole.duty.

Can from Hogs Back Brewery Shop. Slick opaque gold. Thick foamy white head. The aroma is subtle - resin and malts but restrained. Medium bitter..Resinous. Peripheral tart citrus. Underlying earthy malts..Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. A refined Westie. Bitter but gentle with it.

Cobra boxed set ordered from Premier Hop. Pale hazy orange. Marmalade. Thick frothy foamy white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Porridge. Low key citrus edge. Sweet and citrusy with a tart edge. Underlying resinous streak that then gains strength. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Flat carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Dece, bruv.

Bottle from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Dark amber. Slightly opaque. Foamy off-white head soon recedes. Aroma has grains, malts. Some spice. Flavourwise is then unexpectedly sour - berries and rye. Develops hints of sweetness, moreso into the finish. Caramel and fruit. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable and easy drinking.

Bottle bought at Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Hazy pale gold. Thick fluffy foamy white head. Aroma has grapefruit, lemon, malts, a hint of spice. Flavourwise we have a bitter streak. Tart edge. Grapefruit. Gooseberry. Woody. Earthy. Underlying sweetness is an afterthought. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat-soft carbonation..Long dry astringent finish. Relatively punchy but doesn't maintain my interest... one hop, one noted, perhaps.

360ml.can at 4.8£, bought at Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Aroma has a light citrus bite, malts. Somewhat metallic edge. Clear copper gold. Foamy white head thins out. Sweet. For some reason I wasn't expecting that. Sugary. Caramel. Fruiy. Slightly metallic and citrus edge. Light. Thin to slick. Flat-soft carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Enjoyable for whst it is.

I have caught the train to Bexley a few times, only to jump straight into a taxi, so Inhadn not realised that it was so village like. This mocropub (ok it's bigger than micro) is located next to quite a large paved area. On a sunny Friday afternoon the large area of outdoor seating was packed (potentially shared with neighbouring businesses?). It was pretty busy inside as well. Something like 10 kegs and 2 casks. A few ticks. 5 minutes from the station. The sort of place I would love to open near me, even if it's not necessarily a destination by itself.

From Beer To Eternity certainly has an interesting location/building. It's with the boundaries of Havant Park, in old.lodge building (the park is potentially utilises what were the grounds of a now demolished stately home?). Some seating outside and the bar itself is then spread through the smaller interior rooms. The bar area itself is pretty small. Could be a bit of a scrum if busy. 12 kegs. I like a place that actually does local ticks. I had beers from newbies Portcullis plus Stream Town. They also had Staggeringly Good beers on tap. Plus a few more well known UK breweries and German and Belgian options. Well tricked fridge with an array of UK, Belgian and German brews. Friendly and helpful staff. 8 or so people sat outside and and the peope at the bar suggested there were more customers sat in other rooms. A guy wa setting up a mead tasting in the room I was sat in. I arrived at around 16:30 on a Thursday so probably got busier later. 5 minutes from Havant Station so worth dropping into.
