440ml can from Morrisons. Amazing value! Poured a clear dark brown, almost black colour with a big, lasting, frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, chocolate. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a rich, smooth, roasty, light chocolate, dry, spicy coffee, light boozy, liquorice bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation after the initial fizz.

Draft at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a mostly clear yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, mineral, light hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, light herbal, light grassy, light woody, dry hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Not so bad at all considering the ABV.
