0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', best before August 2027. Very dark ruby to black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity aroma of caramel, molasses, raisins, figs and whisky. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and fairly boozy taste of caramel, molasses, lots of whisky, vanilla, raisins and traces of clove, followed by a long, moderately bitter, rather boozy finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice taste-wise, somehow not really Quad-like though, rather like a Belgian Barley Wine maybe.

0.33 l bottle from 'Homberg's große Bierwelt', best before November 2025. Hazy, deep ruby with a large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity aroma of strawberry, caramel and some raisins. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and a little roasty taste of caramel, strawberry, chocolate, toasted nuts and some raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid Dunkel.

0.75 l bottle from 'AleHub', best before February 2032, cellared for a bit over a year. Very hazy, pale orangeish amber with a few white bubbles on top of it. Sweetish, sourish, rather vinous-fruity aroma of lemon, rhubarb, red wine and some glue. Gently sweet, quite sour, rather vinous-fruity taste of lemon, rhubarb, red wine, vinegar, oak and traces of glue, followed by a, very tart, gently woody-dry finish. Medium body, fairly astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not the worst one from this series, still not balanced at all. Too sour for my liking, a little off - again - as well. Lots of room for improvement, still a decent refreshment on a hot summer day.

0.33 l bottle from 'Homberg's große Bierwelt', best before August 2025. Hazy, golden orange with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity-floral and a little resiny aroma of mango, orange and some passion fruit. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, quite fruity-floral and minimally resiny taste of orange, mango and passion fruit, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant Pale Ale, rather crisp with quite some bite.

Sweetish, gently yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity-floral aroma of banana, clove, some pear and a touch of honey. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-spicy and moderately fruity-floral taste of banana, clove, grains, some pear and a touch of honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally tartish finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Pleasant, hop-forward Weizen.
