0.33 l bottle from 'Homberg's große Bierwelt', best before July 2025. Almost clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, moderately fruity-floral aroma of grains, some lemon peel and hints of vanilla. Slightly sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral taste of grains, lemon peel, some straw and traces of vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant Helles.

0.33 l can from 'HEMA' (Zutphen), best before September 2025. Hazy, very pale golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral aroma of grains, corn flakes, quite some raspberry and hints of vanilla. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral and minimally artificial taste of raspberry, grains, corn flakes and light vanilla, followed by a short, hardly bitter, slightly dry finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Drinkable.

0.33 l bottle from 'Homberg's große Bierwelt', best before November 2025. Hazy, golden yellow with a large, dense, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity-grassy and slightly floral aroma of lemon peel, gooseberry and fresh grass. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity-floral taste of grains, honey, lemon peel and gooseberry, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Tasty, hop-forward Maibock, just a bit too effervescent.

0.33 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', best before October 2025. Hazy, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly fruity-floral aroma of grains, straw, some vanilla and a touch of lemon peel. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, a little fruity-floral taste of grains, straw, some vanilla and light lemon peel, followed by a, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pretty nice Helles, quite moreish for the style, finally a beer which deserves the tag 'naturtrüb'.

Fantastic beer store right in the city centre. Great varied selection with beers from the Netherlands, including some locals, and lots of international stuff, for example several BCBS variants, quite some lambic and other gems. I would have liked to see more Dutch beers but for the regular client this must be great. It's maybe not the cheapest place but absolutely worth a visit. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable as well.

0.33 l bottle from 'Homberg's große Bierwelt', brewed at Bieratelier Oelde, 32 IBU, best before March 2026. Very hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity, slightly resiny aroma of mango, orange jam and some pine. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, rather fruity, slightly juicy and a bit resiny taste of mango, orange jam, some passion fruit and a touch of pine, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very well-brewed beer, maybe not completely within the boundaries of the style though.
