16 oz. can at Brewklyn, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of allium, balanced with dank, piney hops, and some tanginess from the Nelson. Flavour is much the same, with tangy hops, allium, and some dankness. The Nelson helps balance the allium from the Citra. Not my optimal hop expression but this is well-brewed.

500mL can at Brewklyn, pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is full of wonderfully tangy, white wine-like hops, some dankness, and biscuity malt. Flavour is vibrant, with a wonderful hop tanginess, light citrus, and a crisp biscuity malt. Tangy, lightly dank; more like an IPA/IPL than pils. Excellent.

500mL can at Brewklyn, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of grassy hops, crisp crackery malt, and straw. Flavour is crisp, with big grassy hops, straw, and crisp biscuity malt. Nicely hopped, clean, and crisp. Good stuff.

On tap at Põhjala, pours a hazy pinkish amber with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of phenols, jammy berries, and acetic notes. Flavour has some plasticy smokiness, acetic notes, jamminess, and phenols. All sorts of messed up notes here. Poor.

On tap at Põhjala, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma has deep dark malts, plenty of spirit, and some booze. Flavour is very rich, with intense dark malts, big spirit notes, dark sugars, and a touch of liquorice. Extremely big, very syrupy, a bit brutal. It’s good but over-the-top.

On tap at Põhjala, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has gentle cocoa, toasted malt, and some crusty rye bread. Flavour is full of chocolate—somewhat syrupy—with light toasted malt. A bit too sweet for me, but nice chocolate character in its simplicity. Good.

Flavour is really dry, with lots of dry cocoa, some earthiness, and toasted malt. Really great structure, with deep malts and dry dark cocoa permeating the finish. Excellent.

On tap at Põhjala, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is rich, with deep whiskey barrels, dark dried fruits, toffee, and brown sugar. Flavour is super rich, with intense dark dried fruits, toffee, brown sugar, and big whiskey barrels. Almost too sweet but there’s so much malt and barrel depth. Super complex and rich. Fantastic.
