750mL bottle at Lambiczoon, pours a clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma has dusty plums, musty barnyard notes, and musty fruit skins. Flavour is subtle at first but opens up, with musty plum skins. Musty, dusty, but really nice fruity and funk expression.

750mL bottle at Lambiczoon, pours a clear dark amber orange with a small white head. Nose is complex, with barnyard funk, musty dry grape skins, and leather. Flavour has a wonderful grape skin complexity, moderate funk, leather, and gentle mustiness. Wonderful grape and funk combo as usual from 3F Druifs. Beauty.

On tap at Lambiczoon, pours a cloudy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is very musty, with stale bready malt, some bugginess, not much nice yeasty character. Flavour is rather muted, with earthiness and muted stone fruits. Muffled and uncoordinated.

On tap at Lambiczoon, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with balsamic notes, red wine barrels, and sweet liqueur. Flavour is surprisingly nice, with plenty of balsamic, red wine barrels, tannins, and dry port wine. I’m not a fan of the balsamic, but there’s admittedly a very nice vinous character. Good but not fully convinced.

330mL bottle at Birrificio Italiano - Milano, pours black with a tiny brown head. Nose is full of dark roasted espresso, plenty of wood, and roasted malt. Flavour is complex and deep, with rich espresso, woody barrels, and roasted malt. Everything is balanced well despite how intense this is. Delicious.

On tap at Birrificio Italiano, pours a deep dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma has toasted malt, a touch of roast, and a hint of fruitiness. Flavour is roastier than your average dark lager, with light honey, moderate hops, and earthiness. Roasty, hoppy finish in good balance. Very good.
