Decent, dry and pithy, lean pale malts, tangerine peel, dried oats, hay. Fine.

Sweet and creamy, some lemon rind, pale bread, mellow bitterness, oats, tangerine, nip of golden raisins. Fine.

Pale and grainy, some white bread, ripening lemon, husk, straw. Eh.

Kind of sugary, oddly sweet and malty and grainy. Some ripe lemon. Bitter finish. Not great.

Incredible depth. Luscious dark malts, dark fruits, toffee, vanilla, fudge, toasted wood, raisins, burnt marshmallows, plum, fig. Chocolate cake. Warming, somewhat sticky. Really dangerous stuff. Impressive.

Exceptionally clean. Balanced grassy-citrusy hop bite. Lightly sun-kissed pale malts. Some semi-juicy citrus fruit. Faint dank notes. Golly that’s good.

Not a ton of depth but it is really drinkable. Good toasted malts, milk chocolate, accents of vanilla, roast, ash, mild earthy bitterness. Subtle dark fruit notes. As noted, very drinkable, especially for the ABV.

Pretty good for the style. Some dry pale malts, oats, lemon peel, light minerality, low bitterness, nip of pithy grapefruit. Easygoing and drinkable, if unremarkable.

Vintage 2014. Definition of decadent. Concentrated apples, sweet and moreish, caramel, honey, fresh apple, toasted sugars. Full bodied, subtly oily. Lightly warming finish, sweet but not quite cloying, more delicious sugary apple. A shot of this is, pound for pound, probably more satisfying than almost any other beverage.

Good fun. Bright and zippy blueberry character, mellow acidity, touches of wood, vanilla pods, lemon. Clean finish, with balanced tartness, pleasantly drying. Highly moreish.
