Bottle from Stacks. Cloudy black, no head. Aroma of teriyaki, beef stock, black olive, old fondant, vanilla, dark fudge, bourbon. Taste has sweet prune & brambleberry, bitter fondant, umami olive, touch of vanilla. Earthy hops in the finish, lingering fondant, coffee roast and warming bourbon alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. (2026 rerate, no score changes.)

Espresso, cigar, fondant, vanilla, teriyaki, smoke. Sweet date, fondant sauce, umami teriyaki. Earthy hops, tobacco, sweet whisky alcohol. Another great BA Stout by Brambrass!

Candied date & fig, brandy, toffee, gingerbread, vague chlorine. Very sweet candied date, fig, raisin, pear, caramel, biscuit. Soft herbal hops, dried fruits, heating brandy-like alcohol. Syrupy texture. Really good, manages to actually convey a layer of flavours instead of solely alcohol. Nice, Bram!

From the Stacks stand. Ripe melon indeed, pineapple, lime, wet cloth. Sweet melon, pineapple, cheese. Floral hops, dank melon, sweaty feet. Lacks a tad more freshness for the style.

Cooked ham, tobacco, leather, cheese rind. Sour gooseberry, rhubarb, umami smoked ham. Funky & woody finish, lactic acid and peated whisky (dash of alcohol) blended well together. Outspoken yet elegant.

Cold coffee, earth, toast, old fondant. Sweetish brambleberry, bitter coffee, nuts. Earthy hops, toast, ash. Medium body. Where ABV? Not too bad but it certainly didn't stand out.

Green apple, dusty furniture (cognac!), wet wood, old raisin. Sweet green apple, raisin, caramel. Woody finish, herbal hops, dried fruits, boozy alcohol (brandy). Decent sipper, cognac is quite dominant here.
