Can from Beer Republic. Hazy ochre, stable, foamy, white head. Aroma of mandarin peel, grapefruit, green pepper, shallot, peach, hashish. Taste has sweet mandarin & pineapple, turning towards bitter shallot, pepper & pine in a honeyish malt body. Dry, bitter finish of floral & peppery hops, citrus peel & dank shallot. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Bit too spicy for the style, but pleasant enough.

Can from Beer Republic. Clear golden, small, stable, foamy, white head. Aroma of peach, grape, mandarin, shallot, lemongrass, pine, cheese rind. Taste has sweetish peach, melon & grape, leading to a bitter middle of pine, grapefruit & herbs within a bready, cracker-like and slightly honeyish malt body. Piney hops in the finish, lingering bitter citrus pith, unripe stone fruit & shallot. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Restrained all in all, some juiciness, mainly dry. I like it!

Can from Delhaize Dok Noord.
A: hazy orange, stable, frothy, off-white head.
A: grass, straw, rusk, melon, grapefruit peel, lemongrass, spring onion.
T: sweetish melon & mandarin, bitter spring onion, starch, bread crust.
F: grassy & some resinous hops, grapefruit peel, yeast.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
Stylewise even "Belgian Hazy" would be a stretch. Needs some refining, and we have a decent Belgian IPA at hand.

Bottle from Bierboom (presumably). Jet black, quickly thinning, dark beige head. Aroma of black olive, teriyaki, wet black pepper, espresso, beef stock, coffee bean, fondant, leather, ink, date, toasted almond, coffee liqueur. Taste has sweet date & brambleberry in a dark-chocolatey, almondy, pecan-nutty malt body surrounded by pronounced umami beef stock, almost salty in a way, and some bitter espresso. Herbal & peppery hops in the finish, lingering coffee bean, dried fruits and warming coffee liqueur-like alcohol. Medium to full body, thin oily texture, soft carbonation. Unmistakeably aged, a bit too umami, but still offering a delicious malt profile. Cheers to the - now disbanded - 4 Monniken!
