I don't really tick much nowadays. Still enjoy a decent beer just as much, along with the community that Ratebeer originally built. I've not moved to that popular app and never will - It's become a monopoly which is having too much influence on today's craft beer scene.

To be honest I didn’t expect to find a place like this in Guilin but was certainly happy to. The taps are pretty much outside by the pavement and there’s some bar seats and a couple of terrace tables on demand. A big fan machine to keep the temperatures doable. There’s also an indoor area, but there’s much more atmosphere just being on the street. Beer selection is varied and decent with different styles available. Some solid IPAs and various other stuff. Good luck finding out what you’re drinking though - Everyhing is in Chinese on the board to you can only rely on image translation. The guy serving was friendly enough but didn’t speak a word of English so again Google translate conversations are the way to go. He was happy to give tasters of the beers. Great prices too. Just to note, the address and GPS location are approximate based on me being there. It is not on Google Maps, Amap etc and getting GPS points on Google doesn’t work properly there. It should be close enough for you to find it though 🙂

Got to love this, on Lamma Island in HK at Yardley Brother’s place and find this. A decent bitter in good condition enjoyed in a little place that makes me feel like I’m half my age and backpacking SE Asia. All be it with better beer.
