Can. Pretty much a clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Smooth pale malts deliver modest sweetness. Cooling pine hops into classic slightly bitter but clean citrus, smooth juicy orangey citrus, very slightly floral. The Nelson is very much second fiddle, as in, barely there which is a shame as it would have really added something to this pretty quaffable wcipa.

A 750 I have no recollection of buying! Bottle 24 of 100. Near opaque dark brown beer, a good tan head that has some legs. Airy palate, a mild dryness, good fine minerally carbonation. Tangy dark malts, never hinting at sour but, that dark ripe fruit tang. A touch of thin dark malt cream. A little earthy coffee. The HBC472 hops do provide a little extra, some soft coconut on the back end with a very light vanilla streak, not something I have noticed with this hop before. Perhaps the description is influencing me. Yeah, not a shouty Impy at all. Aside from the fact that it's nice to try and Impy that hasn't been overwhelmed by a barrel, this is subtlely really quite crushable. I can see and evening of ordering pints of this and then wondering why various faculties have stopped working! A sleeper!

Near opaque dark brown beer, a reasonable tan head. Soft dark malts, a little dark malt cream with classic touches of coffee and dark chocolate. Apple Brandy pretty obvious, that ain't a complaint! Fairly bright and tangy apple with a pleasing ice cider boozy aspect. Mild coconut. A pretty light finish. Doesn't need the adjuncts, the barrelling is more than enough.

Semi opaque darkish brown beer, small tan head that doesn't last. Airy palate, a little dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mild chocolate in the somewhat thin bodied dark malts, that 45% cacao vibe. Soft ripe fruits and a smooth and pleasant coconut. Been hanging around a bit this beer and, maybe this is a bit past it. Still a tidy affair which doesn't offend in any department.

A near clear rich colour gold beer, a good pale cream colour head that persists. Airy smooth palate, reasonable superfine carbonation coming through on the back end. Light pale malts, a very light creamy sweetness that suits this splendid brew down to the ground. Wonderful combination of yeast usage and clever barrelling delivers soft but rich champagne and Chardonnay vibes. A little oaky vanilla. Airy semi dry finish. Wonderful champagne beer, a stellar example of the style. Now add some 2026 Nelson Sauvin hops and you will have a mind blower.

Can. Hazy goold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Light palate, a little dry and delivering a good fine minerally crispness. Light smooth pale malts, a pleasant light creamy sweetness. The trio of Aussie hops bring crisp cooling pine, mild hop spice, modest bitterness and a trace of soap. The hops fruits are a good smorgasbord of tropical, stone and citrus. Looking for some Luna vibes, well yeah, some berries on the back end. Light finish. A solid affair, downgraded slightly by the mild but annoying soapy note.

The rather splendid hop array delivers a little tangy pine and mild hop spice into an entertaining hop fruit array. Peacharine obvious with its slightly ripe peach and nectarine. Savoury Riwaka exotics and mild Motueka lime. Nectaron brings further stone fruit spread and richness. A mild hop spice nip on the light finish. Well conceived and well delivered.

Hops bring light cooling pine and a persistent undercurrent of skunk. The Kiwi - US hop triumvirate bring juicy hop fruits, rounded citrus, and touches of stone fruits and tropical fruits. Motueka lime underneath and enlivening. A very mild hop spice nip on the close. Very good Azvex goodness.
