In my opinion, most of the great men of the past were only there for the beer.

440 ml can, as Monkey Brew Galileo Christmas Saison, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy golden colour, small and shortlived white head. Wheaty aroma and flavour, with notes of orange peel, coriander seeds, white sage and allspice. Peppery aftertaste. Fairly nice beer.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Citric aroma. Flavour like Ben Shaws Cloudy Lemonade - a refreshing summer drink, but beer?? Oh, well ....

(Cask conditioned). Sampled at the Wear Valley CAMRA beer festival. (Room temperature). Low (natural) carbonation, some lacing. Black. Surprisingly fruity and flowery notes in the aroma. Roasted flavour with fruity tones, nice bitterness.

Also sampled later from bottle in Norway.

500 ml can, as Obolon Extra Strong, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 12%. Clear golden colour, large tan head. Sweetish aroma of malts and alcohol. The flavour is way too sweet and alcholic, but at least there are some hops trying (without much success) to balance some of the sweetness. Not totally undrinkable though.

500 ml can, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy brown colour, enormous off-white head, overcarbonated, bottle slowly and continously gushing. Yeasty and malty aroma, notes of dust, wet cardboard and damp cellar. Yeasty and malty flavour, a hint of dark berries, medicinal bitter aftertaste. Won't buy again.
