16 oz can, the rare new tick fridge pull at the Super Bowl party, 2/12/23. Unclear yellowish-orange. Bit of citrus hop and a little pine. Tasty and drinkable.

Draft at Vermont Brewers Festival. Wow, a clear IPA. In New England! And it's bitter! AND it has a fruity mixed citrus aroma WITHOUT USING FRUIT! Holy cow.

Draught at the brewery, 3/24/18.
Clear brass-golden with a white head that quickly fizzles out.
Smells ok, at least, with the most offensive qualities being only some onion and strong vegetal notes. Otherwise lemon-orange and light, leafy pine. Bare cracker and a hint of biscuit behind it. Not exactly inspiring, but I'll take it.
In the mouth it's sweet corn and butter cream. Oh my, that's disgusting. How are their traditional style beers so good and yet they can't even make a decent hoppy beer? It's not even the hops that are done poorly (though they aren't done great, either). Just compound brewing flaws and exceedingly thin textures.

A golden ipa with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and classic. On tap at Festibière de Gatineau hiver 2018.

Bottom of the can stamped 05/05/2017.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy yet transparent rust color with some carbonation bubbles seen rising at a steady pace. Quarter finger’s worth of white foamy head sustained for a good minute before gently dissipating to leave some light speckled lace.
The aroma had some sweet malts up front with the sweet portions of the hops. Tropical notes come across somewhat sugary. Light grassy bitter hops that try to carry a light firmness.
The flavor leaned into the sweet portions of the previously mentioned aromas. I swear there’s some sugary aspects coming out. Aftertaste was slightly sugary sweet. The finish was clean and firm without any stickiness.
The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. It’s fairly smooth going along my tongue.
Overall, best thing about this is the \"feel.\" The bitter harshness is quite contained allowing it to be an easy drinker for possibly any time of the year. Might even be a decent one to have with some spicy foods, but for the most part, if Goodwater was trying to go for this new \"New England\" styled IPA, they missed it with this one. I didn’t mind this one so much for me as there’s nothing off.
