16 ounce can. Hazy pale gold color. Large frothy white head. Fragrant citrus hop aroma hints of lemon peel and passion fruit. Flavor brings notes of lemon curd, papaya and pear. Creamy mouthfeel. Peppery notes in dryish, bitter finish.

Can pour from trade with Johnnniee--thanks, John! Appearance is opaque orange-yellow with tons of sparkle at the edges of the glass, 2-finger width white rocky foam head with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong grapefruit, pine, peach and a bit of citrus. Taste is peach and more subtle grapefruit followed by dry, moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, average carbonation, and finish as taste with dry, crisp, moderately bitter finish. Overall, appearance and aroma get you ready for something special and then the taste pales in comparison and the mouthfeel is a bit thin. With a little tinkering, this could be something.

Tap. Blackback Pub, Waterbury, VT. Hazed, pale gold. Thick, lasting, lacing, off white head. Nose has pale bread. Zested lime. Clean grain. Some floral hop leaf. Taste is light bitter. Fairly dry. Clean on the palate. Fine, foamy carbonation. Lingering light bitterness to finish. Decent, refreshing pale.

Draught at the brewery, 3/23/18.
Lightly hazy with an extremely pale straw-colored golden body. White head fades steadily to ring.
Smells nicely hoppy, quite NE IPA-like with juicy mango and light lime-grapefruit not growing too citrusy or acidic. No pine or resin/alcohol. The barest of cracker is found behind it, suggesting again that this one will be quite grainy and undermalted.
And yet again it is. Hard, thin, extremely undermalted. Hops are done right with clean, bright, lightly juicy, very fruity notes throughout and low bitterness/no resin. But it's just so damned thin and husky with zero malt softness or sweetness whatsoever.

4 oz. draft at Ten Bends. Hazy golden appearance. Aroma shows me mild citrus, subtle mango, pale grain. Flavor some mild citrus with decent tropical hints. Light bodied with a crisp texture. Pretty straight-forward.

On tap at The Reservoir, Waterbury. Deep yellow with a bit of haze, bubbly white head slowly fades. Bits of bready and cracker with some earthy resinous grassy hops to counter. Decent beer, but feels a bit raw.

On tap at the Vermont NanoFest 2017, pours a lightly hazy orange with some ringing, white head. Standard nose, malt, orange, soap, a little paper. Flavor follows, malt and honey, orange, some grapefruit, pine. Finishes dry, bitter. Standard IPA.

One of their first beers and finally, I get to try it. ’Bout time!
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a slight burnt orange to copper sort of color with a sly transparency about it. Nice looking sustaining finger’s worth of white foamy head. Eventually dies and allows some subtle stringy lace.
The aroma fuses nicely some sweet tropical fruits to some bitter citrus rind-like portions. Just a touch of pine at the very end.
The flavor, once again, seems to allow a nice mellow blend of the tropical sweet to the citrus rind and then some light pulpiness comes out. Leans to the sweet side in the aftertaste and runs nicely into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a very nice sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. Very mobile and smooth feel along my tongue. ABV feels appropriate.
Overall, so glad I am finally able to try what I think is their considered \"flagship\" beer, I have to check on that and will update back to ensure that it really is their flagship.
