Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: very dark brown close to black in color with a two finger eggshell white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some subtle lace
Aroma: dark fruits, woody scents, earthy tones, clean soil, dark chocolate and a touch of coriander
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together somewhat spicy and earthy sweet with a light savory tone to it; mild aftertaste of the spicy tones and clean earthy to woody vibes
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper; somewhat dry on the tongue and not so smooth; finishes earthy and dry
Overall: dark saison - well it certainly is and a nice one to end a night on because of how dry it is, I'd have again.

Poured from 341mL bottle (bottled 2016-09-06, thanks beerplace). Black with tan head. Vinous, mild dark fruit and chocolate, hint of soy sauce. Seems like it's a little past its prime, but still has some good flavours.

12 oz. bottle, thanks to Brett! Pours black, with a big, frothy, tan head. The aroma is black bread, orange peel, anise, coconut, and blackberries. Dry and roasty, with just a little tart flavor. Medium body, with an acidic, drying mouthfeel. Interesting and quite tasty.

Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. It pours deep brown to black with a medium tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, jammy, vinous, bread, sticky fruit bun, dried fruits and figgy pudding. The taste is smooth, juicy, fruity, vinous, jammy berry, bread, fruit compote, slick toffee, wood and touch of alcohol warmth through the finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Incredibly well balanced. Really enjoyable stuff.

Draft @ Beavertown Extravaganza'17.
