Een dark barleywine, gebrouwen met honing en een klein beetje rookmout. Een mooi vol bier met flinke tonen van karamel, honing en een vleugje rook.
The day before our Anniversary festival, we teamed up with the brewers present at our festival to brew a delicious beer. It turned out to be a dark barleywine, brewed with honey and a little bit of peated malt. The result is a Superb full beer with substantial notes of caramel, honey and a hint of peat.
This beer can rightfully call itself Super Collab, as it was brewed by no less than 6 breweries.

Can from Stacks (?). Hazy dark brown, thin, beige head. Intense aroma of tobacco, mocha, nougat, toasted almonds, dark honey, dried fig & date, toffee, brandy. Taste has sweet fig, date & prune in a thick malt profile offering toffee, dark honey, some toast, a whiff of coconut and indeed subtle smoke. Peppery hops introduce the finish where more layers of dried fruits, biscuit, toast and smoke pass by, topped off with a warming dash of peated whisky alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, sot carbonation. Moreish and layered, excellent!

(Draft at Het Lagerhuys, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2026) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, vinous nose with caramel, red fruit, raisins and figs. Malty, vinous taste with notes of caramel, red berries, dried fruit, raisins, figs, dark cherries and a mild spicy bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, sweet. Rich, powerful and slightly boozy. Complex. Very nice.

330ml can. Very dark brown with a beige/tan head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, dark fruity malts. Taste is the same, quite sweet with the toffee and caramel malts, dark fruits, raisin, plum, warming alcohol. Medium bodied.

A clear dark reddish brown beer with a white lacing. Aroma of ripe dark fruits, plums, dark malt. Taste of sweet strong dark malt, raisins, plums, wood. Boozy finish.

Can from The Beer Cave. Brown body with ruby highlights and a short-lived head. Low carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of cherry, cigar and honey. Flavour of fruit cake and glazed cherries. Medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is nice but it feels more sugary sweet than malty sweet.
