Een dark barleywine, gebrouwen met honing en een klein beetje rookmout. Een mooi vol bier met flinke tonen van karamel, honing en een vleugje rook.
The day before our Anniversary festival, we teamed up with the brewers present at our festival to brew a delicious beer. It turned out to be a dark barleywine, brewed with honey and a little bit of peated malt. The result is a Superb full beer with substantial notes of caramel, honey and a hint of peat.
This beer can rightfully call itself Super Collab, as it was brewed by no less than 6 breweries.

On tap,at Borefts 2025. Black beer no real head. Its a dark barley wine. I like the sweetness of this and then the big hoppy finish. Some toffee caramel. Fudge. Flavours. So do I like it? Its fine decent some ok demerara sugar. Not the best lacks a little depth in the malt. OK though

330 ml can.Pours a dark reddish brown with moderate tan head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of candi sugar, treacle, dark honey, dark fruit, and toasty malts. Flavors follow same with a little bit of chocolate. Lots of sweet dark fruit and honey.

33cl Blik, dank Harmen! Donkerbruine tot zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Roest, roestwater, donker fruit, vijgen, rozijntjes, stroop, hint van rook, helaas zijn de roest en geoxideerde bijsmaakjes te sterk op de voorgrond. Matig bier voor mij.

Can. Color: Clear dark copper, fast disappearing beige head. Aroma: Sweetish, dark dried fruit. Taste: Sweetish, dark dried fruit, subtle smoky, dark malt, caramel, honey, hints of roasted malt and molasses. Some floral hop in the background. Full body, below average carbonation. Over medium sweet, light to moderate bitterness, Enjoyable. Nice slow sipper.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear dark amber beer, decent bubbly pale tan head. Fairly light palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Malts bring modern caramel and cream, not that sweet. Ripe honey soaked fruits but, again, not that sweet. Mercifully, just a whisper of peat before the light finish. Interesting and pretty tasty, took awhile to get into it but, once there, enjoyed it.

Nose is stewed fruits, vanilla, figs, fruit cake mix, light spice.
Taste comprises liquid fruit cake, spice, hint of smoke, dates, figs, prunes, sticky brown sugar, molasses.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Tidy sipper but expected a little more for a 10 year celebration affair!

0.33 l can from 'DeBiersalon.nl', best before October 2030. Slightly hazy, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a bit smoky aroma of molasses, dark honey, raisins, figs and hints of ash. Very sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and minimally smoky taste of molasses, cough syrup, raisins, figs, dark honey, light chocolate and hints of ash, followed by a long, moderately bitter, slightly boozy finish. Full body, syrupy mouthfeel, almost flat. Extremely sweet, but also highly moreish and quite complex. Really nice sipper!

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Thick and sweet with molasses, caramel, honey, alcohol, touch of smoke. Medium sweet, sticky, relatively full body. Rich, sweet, very nice.
