The Prodigal Haze Part X continues our exploration of intense hop character! This rendition features three unique expressions of the Citra hop for an extraordinary flavor journey: hand-selected Citra lots, Citra Cryo hops, and Citra hop extract! Brewed with a focus on cool whirlpool temperatures and massive hop additions, aromas of candied grapefruit peel, fresh-squeezed OJ, honeydew melon, and lychee sorbet pop from a vigorous pour. Pouring a pale yellow color, akin to Part IX, this hazy beauty is a feast for the eyes and palate. Our house yeast’s creamy qualities meld with these tropical aromas, blurring the line between a Triple IPA and fresh, sweet smoothies! As with every Prodigal Haze release, the experience remains as enticing at the last sip as it does at the first. Enjoy!

16 oz can. Thanks TJ on the can trade. Flavor is a myriad of citrus. Candied orange, tangerine, mild grapefruit, has a very mild grapefruit bitterness. Good, not great.

Can from trade with Chalumeaux—thanks, TJ! Opaque dark yellow-light brown, decent head, nice viscosity, with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong tangerine, citrus, grapefruit, yeast. Taste follows aroma, light creamsicle. Frothy texture, soft carbonation, dry finish as taste with yeast and lingering bitterness.

Canned 6/27/25, drunk 7/24/25, compliments of Chalumeaux.
Heavily hazy, bordering turbid, tangerine-puree-to-mimosa, with a large, creamy, well-retained, off-white head.
Creamy, almost milkshake-like with jammy fruits, guava and passion fruit puree and what seems like vanilla. But there's none of that actually here, so that's pretty impressive. There's some citrus rind and mango core that has a nice balancing acidity, but no excessive sugar, resin or alcohol noted.
Fresh squeezed tangerine juice with a pleasant amount of bitter acid to balance the soft, juicy, smoothie-like texture and gentle sweetness. Rich and creamy, juicy and balanced. Per usual, seems like it just gets better up until about a month of age.

Pours a hazy, gold-pineapple, with big, fluffy head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit. Flavors follow. Just a touch of alcohol-burn in the flavor. Soft mouthfeel. Moderate to above levels of hop bitterness in the finish.
