Can (010smudgedunintelligible but assume 01/0X/21) pour from trade with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's a cloudy, orange-light brown with light sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong tangerine and candied fruit. Taste is equal parts tangerine and citrus astringency with late yeast, herb and cracker with rye in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light bodied with thin, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste with mild lingering bitterness. Overall, decent strength to the aroma and flavor though astringency detracts a bit. Hops are standing tall given age but rye is a bit muted.

12 oz. can. This is about 3 months old. (No can dating) Flavor are near match. Aroma is floral, herb, caramel malt. Flavor is pretty much the same. Rye and herbs show a strong character.

Hurrah - an unhazy IPA! Tight white head stayed on an unclear still amber body. Pine, hoppy & dank aroma. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a smooth back & cloying back. Resin, malt, pine pithy, grapefruit & butterscotch tastes with a really long bitter finish. Solid

The Aromas are fresh Citrus hops, a little bit of musk and pale malt. Flavors are like Nose the Citrus comes out as rind, fairly dry, and with a bitter finish. Good body decent beer.

Sample at Hoof Hearted during the "Roller Blabe vs Did We Just Become Best Fwendz? (El Dorado / Ekuanot) - Roller Blabe Dual Can Release!" on 06/03/2018. Cloudy golden color with a medium white head that dissipates gradually to an outer ring. Strings of lace. Floral hops, citrus and malt aroma. medium body with flavors of dank citrus, floral hop and mildly spicy rye. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Pint can pours with a murky deep gold body that has thin straw like edges and supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up mango and guava and then leading to floral like hoppiness. The taste delivers some bitter floral hops and then lime and grapefruit hop bitterness. To midway it picks up thin juicy guava. The blend of flavors creates a unique sensation. It's overall bitter hop forward without really enough balance.

Somewhat bland NEIPA, modest grapefruit, berry, dank, and earth notes on top of dry cracker malts. Hints of pineapple and bubblegum pop up, with virtually no bitterness on the finish. Nothing much here, not even a decent rye kick on the finish. More pale ale-ish than IPA, and not a great pale at that. Skip it.

Ever so slightly hazy bronze and copper coloured body with a thinnish, relatively quick-fading pure white head that leaves no lace at all. Aroma of crisp citrus and grapefruit with a bit of resin and some floral and grassy notes near the end along with some fruits and a hint of the rye noticeable at the end. Medium-bodied; Assertively bitter and pungent rye flavoured malts and grain noticeable at first with a good deal of hops, but not too bittering with some citrus, grapefruit and distinctively herbal finishes along with a touch of sweetness. Aftertaste shows more of the bitterness than before, but basically all from the rye and malts and none from the hops, which are noticeable, but just remain dry. Overall, an interesting and rye-forward beer with a lot of the malt notes and less so of the hops and bitterness from the grassy and dry flavours, but the sweetness and light apricot flavours hit towards the end. Good to sample and much more of a specialty grain beer than any APA or especially any IPA, so I think this is categorised just right! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchaesd from Greenville Beer Exchange in Greenville, South Carolina on 31-May-2018 for US$4,24 sampled at home in Washington on 12-June-2018, less than two weeks later.

Can @ home. A bit unclear yellow color, average sized white head. Smell and taste are lightly malts, superb hoppiness, fruity citrussy hops. Absolutely delicious!!

Can shared at State of Origin bottle share. Thanks Joe! Pours a clearish copper gold with a finger of foam. Light tropical mango and grapefruit nose with some rye berry and faint granola aromas. Smooth and clean on the palate with some peppery rye, and lingering citrus flesh and toasted bread. Lingering bitterness, but very enjoyable and crushable. Rye is there, but sits in the background. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hulihee on 09 Jun 2018 at 23:53 - Score: 7
