Bottleshare at Matteo’s. Thanks to Leighton for the can. Lightly hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent carbonation. Smooth soft malts, sweetish and light. Lovely fresh fruity hops - orange and tangerine. Mild hop spice and pine. Some citric peel and a trace of tropical fruits. Light finish. Lovely stuff.

Bottle shared at the inaugural Matteo tasting, 31/10/2016. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. A hazed pale yellow coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Aroma is spicy citrus, pineapple, citrus, ginger, wheat. Fresh pine needles on the nose. Flavour is composed of tangy sour lemon rind, crisp grains. Palalate is crisp grains, moderate carbonation, lemon, tangy. Decent. Clean and easy going.

Can shared in London - big thanks to Dr. Sandman.,pours unclear gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds melon, peach, tangerine. Light to medium sweet flavour with some dry pale malts, pine needles, pithy citrus, ripe lemon. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more pithy citrus, melon, tangerine rind, some floral notes. Good stuff.

Nice hazy golden and copper coloured body with a ridiculously large soapy white head, about eight centimetres tall. Aroma of grass, hay, yeast, malt, bright grassy and very herbal hops and some perfume as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Some of the el dorado notes show through with a more grassy and slightly biting earth note along with some substantial herbal elements which come through nicely along with a good yeast kick. Aftertaste is robust and well-rounded with a good balance, but this one frankly doesn’t offer anything sublime, but it is a reasonably well-crafted beer. Overall, a good beer that’s worth trying if you can get it, and the most important factor - doesn’t cost you much money. I sampled this sixteen ounce can purchased from Eataly in New York, New York on 30-May-2016 for US$5,20 sampled at home in Washington on 13-July-2016.

Draft @ Ale House, Amesbury, MA. Totally murky bright yellow color, some light retention around the edge of the snifter. Aroma is citrus hops / maybe a rind or citrus pulp, pleasant.
Flavor is citrus and floral hops. Citrus rind meets a floral/ earthy bouquet. Low – moderate bitterness with a lively mouthfeel. I’m wondering about the yeast. It almost has a Belgian yeast thing going for it. A little out of the ordinary with this mouthfeel and ingredient profile but that is what I like about it.

Draught at Lulu’s, 6/15/16.
Moderately hazy, brass-golden with some stronger goldenrod and copper tones. White head atop is large and falls slowly to cover.
Interesting and unique nose. Not a juice bomb and yet nor is it full of West Coast citrics. Spicy, dank hops with sweaty citra-like notes (no citra in here though), light melon and dry pineapple. A strong lime element to it, as well. It all works well, as there is little/no resin and maybe just a touch of pine here and there. Biscuity malts in the background provide enough structure but otherwise keep to themselves. No alcohol or flaw.
Initially it’s quite dry, full of lime and bitter lemon rind. Dankness is very earthy/vegetal/leafy. Almost like dried leaves and dried herbs. Add to that a moderate bitterness and you’ve got yourself a weird one, indeed. However, it significantly improves with warming and breathing adding very light honey, juicier citrus notes and cleaner dank notes. Texture is soft for the most part, with biscuity malts providing a medium body. Low to moderate, engaging carbonation and no alcohol or flaw.
