Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Tom L. Black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, winter spices (mostly cinnamon). Sweet flavor with chocolate, lactose, spices, a bit of bitterness. Medium-bodied. Too sweet, but not bad.

22oz bottle shared with no one on 5th June 2016 while on holiday in California. Black bodied with an off-white topping. Very pleasant brew all round, rich, smooth and creamy with plenty going on in both the aroma and taste. A little sweet in nature, but a fine Imp Stout all the same.

Bottle at tasting, shared by friends. Pours dark brown with off white head. Strange aroma with chocolate, caramel, lactose and candied corn. Taste is very sweet with vanilla, chocolate, lactose, cinnamon, rice and corn. Weird, but not bad.

Bottle, 22oz, shared by bergstaden. Almost black in the glass, with a dense, finger-thick light tan head leaving lacing. It’s lightly spiced on the nose, feels like cloves and cardamom, but I don’t disagree with the commercial deScription saying vanilla and cinnamon. It’s full-bodied, sweet and lightly warming, with a pleasant carbonation level. Sweet flavor with dried fruit notes, toffee hints, something reminiscent of peanut butter, some chocolate, coffee and a lovely spiced touch. Everlasting finish with dark malts and a touch of spices in the finish. Sure a wonderful one. 151010
