Much like her Simpsons namesake, Edna is a crabapple sour, but with cranberry and aged in oak foeders for over a year, instead of cigarettes and regret. According to Four Winds, it features subtle notes of tart cranberry complement its nuanced tannic apple character, producing a balanced sour ale which will continue to develop with age.

Nice deep copper body, clear, modest carbonation and some soft white foam. Really good aroma of sour yeasty funk with soft cranberry to help round it out. Flavour is an excellent blend of soft malt, biscuit, tempered by some soft cranberry notes and just a hint of apple. Full and carbonation accents it well. Excellent.

750 ml bottle. Pours a dull copper color with light head. Aromas of tart earthy apples, green berries and soft wheat. Flavors are definite crabapple, almost vinous, with earthy berries and sharp wheat. Bitter. Need to find something to pair this with as a bit too bitter and acidic to sip by itself.

Bottle - Lots of herbal and floral notes, almost medicinal. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Tart and funky soured apple. More medicinal and the a boring finish. Weirdly medicinal and funky.

Hazy light amber, aroma is somewhat lactic, with a dash of apple, maybe a dash of berry. A bit fizzy, a dash of cranberry, and a hit of yeast on the finish. Honestly, not super tart and a touch of fruitiness.
