16oz can pours out a hazy rust color topped with a white head. Nose is black berries some citrus citrus hops and a sweetness. Tatse is more of the nice sweet berries and crisp hops.

Can: Poured a clear pale red color ale with a medium size foamy head with limited retention. Aroma of blackberry notes with light residual sugar notes with some hoppy notes also distinguishable. Taste is a weird mix of blackberry notes, grainy malt with some hops flavours that are not well integrated. Body is light with average carbonation. Not great and not sure what the brewer was aiming for.

Pours a light mahogany with moderate head. Aromas of mashed berries and toasted malts. Flavours follow same - more apples and muddled berries than blackberries, but without the flat paperiness that a lot of blackberry beers put forward. Fruity. Nice.

On tap at Darby's Gastown, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very jammy, with lots of fresh blackberry jam, light pith and some citrus hops. Flavour is fruity and bitter, with lots of blackberry jam upfront, giving way to intensely bitter resinous and piney hops. Really like the marriage of fruit and hops here. Highly drinkable hop bomb.

Tasting at SF, Vancouver, can
Cloudy orange-red color. Nice berry jam aroma. Off-dry, soft mouthfeel; moderate fruitiness, too much yeast residue, chewy.
Dirty, not too bad, but not a fan.

Update - Can - Light Soured berry. Clear pinkish gold with a decent white head. Soured and light bitter fruity berry notes. Better than the first can. Can - Herbal and a slight amount of fruit. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Sweet and fruity with some odd bitterness. Not a big fan.

Can. Hazy, pinkish without much head. There's some fruitiness - the blackberry coming through but there's some yeastiness as well. The fruit and yeast are dominant, but there's also some bitterness that sort of clashes. I would say a brighter fruit character might make this a better beer.
