Can: Poured a black color stout with a nice large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with black chocolate notes with vanilla and coffee notes also noticeable. Taste is also a nice mix between some coffee notes with vanilla, some residual sugar notes are apparent with some caramel notes also noticeable. Body is about average with good carbonation. I am usually not too fond of adjunct based beer but this was well balanced and enjoyable.

On tap at Bells & Whistles, pours black with a medium light brown head. Aroma brings out roasted malt upfront, followed by a touch of caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with plenty of caramel and roasted malt vying for the front of the palate. Fairly sweet but not cloying. Carbonation is higher than average, but still fitting. Excellent.

Can. Black, with a thin, bubbly head. Some bitter chocolate on the nose, light roast, and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, it's a bit different, more of a coffee impy, dropping some harsher roast, and a bit of imperial fruitiness. It's ok, has a bit of an alcohol blast coming through in the finish. The base impy is respectable, but what I'm feeling is ambivalence to the adjuncts - they don't detract from the beer, but they nor do they add anything.

On tap. Pours black with lightish tan head. Aromas of sugary fudgy chocolate, sweet vanilla and roasted malts. Flavours follow same, lots of creamy chocolate, sweetened coffee and slick roasted malts with a burnt sugar edge. Quite nice.

Draught at the brewery
Black color with small head. Nice aroma of coffee shop. Lean body, biscuity roasty malts, moderately sweet, quality coffee, cookies, cocoa; long final; light alcohol warmth.
Intense and balanced. Excellent.

Draft - Chocolate and coffee. Jet black brown with a rich beige head. Rich coffee, viscous, amaretto adds sweetness but not much flavour. Nice.

Taster at the brewery during its 2nd Anniversary shared with Alex. Pours an almost black with beige head. Aroma brings out tons of coffee and some waffle notes. Taste is similar, very sweet. Roasted malt and coffee aftertaste. Good.
