Pasta IPA
Delivering a welcome burst of citrus and tropical fruits on the nose, this light and hazy IPA (made from 52g of surplus fresh pasta, no less!) delivers on the classic East Coast characteristics. Finished by dry hopping with plenty of American hops, we give the beer a delectable dry and slightly bitter note that is unmistakably West Coast.
Hops: Columbus, Centennial, Citra

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is hoppy but also mildly vegetal (or perhaps it's the pasta). Taste is hoppy but restrained, bready malts, citrus peel, grapefruit, piney, moderately bitter. Medium bodied.
Pasta is a new ingredient to me, not sure I've ever seen that used before! Perhaps more interesting than the beer itself, which is fine just lacking.

Can at home, thanks to a rare Sharon Sainsburys visit, 28/10/2025.
Hazed orange topped with a lasting just off white head.
Nose is pale malts, bitter orange, breads, herb, straw.
Taste comprises orange peel, melon, grass, breads, airy malts.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with modest hop bitterness.
Passable IPA ... just so much better out there you don't really need this!

Straw-coloured, hazy, with a large white head that quickly breaks and collapses. A delicate aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. The taste is similar, with a medium body and carbonation, and a slightly stemmy, medium bitterness. Nothing extraordinary. A good product is made from high-quality ingredients, not discarded or expired surplus.

Serviceable, certainly. Some pleasant sun-baked pale malts, pine needles, straw, orange rind. Good balance. Nicely drying. Good and drinkable.
