Moose & Mounty is a rich Bearface whisky barrel aged barley wine with notes of ripe fruits, boerenjongens and vanilla. Subtle whisky influences and a hint of caramel provide a complex taste experience. The finish is full and sticky, with a long, warm aftertaste. A powerful beer for the true connoisseur.

0.33 l bottle from 'Mr. Hop', best before February 2029. Hazy, ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and a bit boozy aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes, vanilla, whisky and some chocolate. Very sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and quite boozy taste of molasses, caramel, raisins, prunes, whisky, vanilla and some chocolate, followed by a long, moderately bitter, rather boozy finish. Almost full-bodied, gently effervescent and a bit fizzy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite tasty and rich, but also quite sharp and not as smooth as their Barley Wines from the past.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is big vanilla from the barrel with whiskey, toffee, caramel, oak, dried fruits, raisins, candy sugar, alcohol. Sweet flavour with some booze, medium to full body. Wonderfully rich, big boozy barrel notes.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 22.02.2029) im 2025-07 getrunken. Dies ist ein typischer getreidiges DeMolen Barley Wine mit Trockenfrüchten, wobei das Kanadische Whisky Barrel Aging nicht auffiel. Der hohe Alkoholgehalt ist perfekt eingebunden. Großartig!
