Synchopathic Apricot is a kettle soured and dry-hopped sour ale brewed with apricots. Synchopathic Apricot “synchs” our refreshingly tart sour ale with the citrus dry-hopping of a pale ale. Biscuity malt and an uplifting stone fruit beat from added apricots form a perfect harmony in this delicately balanced and delightfully enjoyable beer.

Aromas are mainly apricots with a little bit of hops. Flavors are mainly dry tart with a wee bit of apricots, the hops disappear. Not a bad sour beer but nothing to distinguishing.

12oz can. Foamy white head on top of an unfiltered orange body. Bitingly sour like other Destihl sours. The apricot tone is really cool, and coupled with the hops, creates a sour candy taste. Cheesy lacto tones under the lemony sour. Solid.

12 oz can which was an Easter gift. Best by date on the bottom of the can 10/06/18. The pour is a mostly clear golden, with a well formed and lasting one inch off white head. The aroma is soft natural apricot, soft fruit tartness and floral hops. The taste really jumps with vinegar sour, followed by the apricot fruit, tart and the floral hop. Aggressive sour flavors. The palate is medium to light bodied, active carbonation crisp clean sour fruit finish. Nice one.

On tap at the Filling Station, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of tart apricot upfront, with plenty of acidity. Flavour is much the same, with sharp acidity, tart apricot and lactic notes. Very acidic, too much so in fact. It's harsh.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a large foamy white head that left great lacing. The aroma was sour and tart with a noted apricot element. The flavor was intense sourness that was almost overwhelming then after a long delay a strong apricot note came out and lingered. Very long finish. Medium body. Interesting.

Just as good as original Synchopathic, only with a bright apricot tanginess adding an extra level of dry salted fruit to the already insanely sour recipe. Extreme levels of lacto bite, with a grainy malt undertone accentuated by a tropical-herbal hoppiness that complements the yeasty, tart fade. Great aroma, yeasty and tart with apricot undertones. Gorgeous pour, a perfect gold with a massive white head and plenty of lace. Sparkly, boisterous texture is spot-on. Lovely beer.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/10/2017. Pours slightly hazy medium golden/yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge tart/sour apricots, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, green apple, fruit skin, citrus zest, white wine, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, pepper, musty funk, slight vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, apricots, citrus/fruity hops, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tart/sour apricots, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, green apple, fruit skin, citrus zest, white wine, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, pepper, musty funk, slight vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tartness, yeast spiciness, and fruit tang on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour apricots, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, green apple, fruit skin, citrus zest, white wine, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, pepper, musty funk, slight vinegar, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, apricots, citrus/fruity hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/sourness balance, and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from tart/sourness and fruit tang. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and grainy/acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is an outstanding fruited sour ale! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, apricots, citrus/fruity hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the balanced lactic/tangy/drying finish. Really fantastic balance between the apricots, citrus/fruity hops, and Brett/Lacto complexities; with a nice pale malt backbone to balance the acidity. A highly enjoyable offering.

Can/Fest. A- Apricot, tart, subtle. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Sour, tart, fruity, salty. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, sour finish. O- Sour and salty. More like a gose than a generic sour. Apricot is there but comes off as general fruitiness instead of simply apricot. Do wish there was more apricot in it. Pretty good sour overall.
