6 3 6 3 12Draft at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast, cardboard, malt and herbs. Flavour is above moderate sweet (sugary) and light bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5
Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a semi-golden yellow color with a cap of a little white foamy head that swiftly died off. Lace was messy, sliding.
The aroma had some gentle sweet floral to herbal to semi-earthy yet clean with a sly bitter pop of some light pine that played with a little bit of dough.
The flavor was semi-sweet floral to bitter with a stiff herbal quality about it. Somewhat of a doughy aftertaste with the floral and bitter and the herbal. Finish was somewhat floral and dry.
The palate was about medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected.
Overall, pretty decent saison that I could come back to.
