Jet black pour, tiny white head. Aroma of very dark, almost burnt coffee. Soft carb, almost flat really. Finish is all coffee, medium bitterness. Very coffee heavy, not much else is allowed to come through.

Can: Poured a black color porter with a brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some floral coffee notes is enjoyable. Taste is a mix of dry roasted malt notes with some dry floral coffee notes. Body is a bit thin with good carbonation. Not bad but nothing to write home about.

This coffee porter poured a deep black colour with a creamy, light brown head. Nice lacing. Scents include coffee, roasted caramel, a little cooked veggies and a little black licorice. First swig was smooth and creamy with bold coffee flavour and a little burnt toast thrown in. Finish is pure dark roast coffee with a light caramel flavour lingering.

Draft at Bryden's. Dark clear brown color tan head. Earthy coffee aroma. Taste is equally earthy dark roast coffee. A porter first with coffee second, perfect.

This coffee porter pours a cola-like look with a big warm-beige head that stays long and creates decent creamy lacing. The aromas have lots of herbal hops over the roasted malts and coffee notes. The taste is pretty much the same with some nice dryness in the finish from the hops. Roasted malts and the coffee is kind of mild overall. I think I might prefer the Mill Street version as the coffee is more present. Not liking the balance of the hops in this one.

Coffee and some black roast. Pies black with ok head. Lift sweet finish with some caramel. A little cloying on finish. Not bad. Bottle from lick bow.

Bottle - Cold pressed dark roast with some nice chocolate notes. Jet brown black with a light brown head. Lots of roasty and chocolaty coffee notes with a touch of astringent coffee bitterness. Body is a little on the light side, but otherwise pretty good.

A dark brown porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light coffee grind, musty character, light mineral notes. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with coffee grind, musty character, light mineral notes, very nice. On tap at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2015.
