Bambergs Spezialität als helle Sonderedition
Gebraut mit einem helleren Schlenkerla Rauchmalz, das wie beim klassischen Märzen über offenem Buchenholz geräuchert wird. So erhält das Bier eine leuchtende Bernsteinfärbung und das typische Aroma der Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbiere, das Liebhaber in aller Welt so schätzen. Im Geschmack ist es etwas sanfter als das klassische Märzen, mit trotzdem sehr deutlich ausgeprägtem Raucharoma.

Unclear amber with a fluffy beige colored head. Smoked ham, smoked malt, caramel, toffee, lemon zest, rubber, slightly resinous, clove, leathery. Dry zesty bitterness, smoky umami, caramely sweetness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty malty fruity smoky bittersweet finish. Another masterpiece!

Copper-amber colour, small off-white head. Familiar Schlenkerla smokeyness is the nose: smoked ham, wood, some caramalt. Light to medium-bodied. Malty, smokey, a bit caramelly, even some tar. Great malty 5.1% beer.

bottle at home picked up from HOTM. A clear amber reddish coloured pour with a creamy beige head. Aroma is big birch smoke, bacon, brown sugars, woody. Palate is semi sweet, brown sugars, bacon buts, birch wood, waxy wood. Rusty penny, big birch smoke. salty. Palate is semi sweet, brown sugars, salty. highish carbonation. salty. Wet dog, bacon frazzels. Good.

0.5 l bottle from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', best before February 2026. Almost clear, dark reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently smoky aroma of caramel, toasted nuts and smoked ham. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite smoky taste of caramel, toasted nuts, wet leaves, smoked ham and a touch of dark honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty as usual, but not as smoky as expected. Alright.

0,5 l bottle. BB 02/26. Cloudy rubin red with a more than one finger pale beige head. Looks really good. Sweet fruity aroma with smoke and some ham. Nice! Taste is more on the smoke side, burnt wood, smoked fish, less ham, present malt with caramel. Really really nice one.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Intense smoked meat aroma with caramel malt, bacon, wood, ash, some dried fruit and ash. Light to mild bittersweet, good body. Typical Schlenkerla greatness and a fortunate 1000th German beer for me

Mörkt bärnstensfärgad och disig vätska med finbubbligt skumlock. Arom av rökt torv, hö och lite gräs. Rejäl maltnärvaro utan överdriven kladdighet. Ren beska som balanserar smakerna. Mer rökt orvi smaken. Hyfsat kort eftersmak och en bra törstsläckare.
