Golden and hazy, medium head. Good, hoppy brew - some mid 00s hop character, big of alcohol late and a light pale malt character to hold it together, as the hops get chewy towards the finish.

33cl bottle from Midori, Nagano. Pours slightly hazy amber with a modest pale off-head. Hoppy aroma with pine, caramel, tropical fruits and hints of citrus. Medium sweet, but well balanced, solid bitterness and medium flavour intensity. Quite fresh and delicious. Reminds me of why DIPA was my favourite style some time ago.

330ml bottle, from Euro Secret Santa trade. Pours hazy gold, white head. Aroma is fruity orange & tropical juice. Taste continues, some pine marmalade and sweet malt. Perhaps a little too sweet.

Poured into a shaker showing sparse white foam, neon yellow and very light filtration. Quite a bit of sediments. The nose shows a malt forwardness on the first impression but quickly reveals moderately intense notes of cannabis and dry pine. The palate is moderately carbonated and light bodied. Good clean forward flavors of pine and very slight pineapples notes. A very sharp and big bitterness comes on at the end. Malts appear on the linger as the IPA bitterness fades away. The bitterness is slightly too intense but overall a sessionable beer.

Golden color. Frothy white head. Stone fruit with big heavy malt backbone with a fair amount of headiness. The mouth is medium bodied with lower carbonation. Very well balanced but definitely a bit more on the malty side. Big bitter finish. Very beautiful.

Rerate: Bottle/Tap recently. Bitterness seems to have become more harsh. Still has good grapefruit pithiness and orange zest, but the palate and finish is a hit of bitterness. Still nice, but a bit messier than I remembered. 330ml bottle from Tanakaya. Poured into an English pint. Hazy golden mt tharmalade color with a modest soapy head that dissipates fairly quickly, but leaves a nice collar throughout. Great lacing. Huge aromas of pine, resin, catpiss, grapefruit, papaya and passion fruit. Bitter on the palate with some citrus sweetness (mikan). Grapefruit pith in there as well on the bitter side. Medium body with average carbonation. Slightly oily and sticky mouthfeel. Nice long bitter finish. Hides the alcohol really well. Excellent offering. --- Beer merged from original tick of House IPA on 30 Mar 2015 at 15:28 - Score: 8
