On tap @ McDaniels, Dundee. Pours golden with a proportionate head. The nose is of grapefruit and shredded wheat. The taste is of exactly the same. The palate is medium in body and texture and well balanced in the finish. Overall, a good ale.

Cask. Rick yellow color, whitish small foamy head, no discernible aroma for me, doughy slightly sour taste, very little hops, low carbonation, abrupt finish.

Cask at The Cleveland Arms, London. Pours clear, bright gold with a fine, foamy white head. Lovely aroma with vibrant citrus right off the bat. Then some mild straw. Light to medium sweet with a crisp, biscuity character that reminds me of lager. There is light straw and grass bitterness, also-lager like here. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sweet to finish, more crispy biscuits, some light hay and white sugar. Simple and fantastic. Superb condition. The Cleveland Arms remains, for me, the best pub in London as far as conditioning goes.

Cask @ St John's Hotel, Hull. Tasty golden ale but sometimes feels a touch dry, although has a good healthy character with plenty of hops and hints of fruit in the taste.

Cask @ Wetherspoon, Inverness. Golden slightly hazy, bubbly white head. Aroma - bit of citrus hop. Watery with citrus and grapefruit. Slight finish of bitter hop. Quite refreshing to drink (if cool on a hot day), easy drinking, but 1-dimensional and dull.

(Cask at King’s Head, Earl’s Court, London) This was a fruity and more precisely citric bitter. Even though I like citrus flavours and aroma this beer was missing something. Aroma and taste weren’t in balance. The fruitiness was mostly in taste and I would have liked it to be in aroma, too.

Light copper coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of light malt, very light hops and a touch of nuttiness. Light-bodied; Nice pleasant hop and malt balance tastes well with some fruits, almonds, and a very mild dryness. Aftertaste shows some good drying hops, a touch of caramel and even a bit of the alcohol noticeable. Overall, a good bitter, not great - but shows nicely when served on cask! I sampled this pint served on cask in London, England on 13-Decmber-2008.
