Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Scopey. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and quite light, decent fine carbonation. Light malts, smooth and sweetish. Lovely light bourbon soaked fruits. Modest alcohol spice. Touch of pine. Light finish leaves a fruity linger. Super duper! A bourbon barrel barleywine that manages to be both light and fresh tasting.

Bottle split at L42, with thanks to Scopey, 19/10/17. Rich chestnut brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is rich fruit rinds, bourbon, toffee, light spice layer, oaky barrel tones. Taste comprises carmael, booze tunes, fruit cake, spice, bourbonics, dates, toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost level. Solid sipper but perhaps could be better 6 to 12 months down the line?
