Alaskan Raspberry Wheat is an American-style Wheat Ale that highlights the bright flavors and inviting aroma of more than 3,000 pounds of real raspberries added during fermentation.
Years of local demand through Alaskan’s Rough Draft program of draft-only releases and a Silver medal from the 2008 Great American Beer Festival make Alaskan Raspberry Wheat the perfect brew to launch the Alaskan Pilot Series.

On tap at Luckys. Pours a cloudy copper ruby with medium off white head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is raspberry and wheat. Thin mouthfeel with sweet fruit and raspberry flavor. Decent.

Tap at Republic. Red color. Smells like raspberry kool aid. Read raspberry flavor and dry. I cant drink much of it but but does seem to be real fruit.

Location: Bottle from Central Market - Houston, 7/23/13
Aroma: The nose isn't that big, it has some fruitiness, obviously plenty of raspberry, and some malts
Appearance: It pours a hazed reddish-orange color with an off-white head and some decent lace
Flavor: The taste is medium-plus sweet, with lots of sweet raspberry, and a mild tartness
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has an alright feel, plus carbonation, and a mildly tart finish
Overall Impression: I'm not usually a fan of beers this fruity, but I thought this one worked all right. There's definitely something interesting here. It may be quite sweet, but it has some pretty good components to it. Not a great beer, but solid for sure.

Pours a reddish-orange color with small head, that dissipates quickly. Strong aroma of raspberries and wheat. Flavor is dominated by the raspberries, with a bitter wheat undercurrent. Not particularly sweet, but an interesting combination of flavors. Mouthfeel a bit on the thin side. Glad I gave it a try, though I’m not sure I’d want another.

22oz bomber. Unfiltered glowing red-orange with a creamy, thin off-white/pinkish head. This is probably one of the better raspberry beers I’ve had. Fresh red raspberry taste, a touch of rindy dryness, along with some mellow wheat, and a very smooth meidum body. Not hoppy, not sour..pleasantly unique and non-gimmicky. Simple in it’s essence, but one to appreciate if you’ve had countless subpar raspberry beers.

Bomber from Bevmo Valencia. Nose is heavy raspberries with a bit of banana. Lightly hazy rusty copper with a big cream head. Flavor is a raspberry jam sandwich, lightly sweet with a hint of white pepperiness.

Bottle: Poured a reddish orange with a thin off white head. Aroma is raspberry fruit, light honey, and wheat. Taste is nice fruit berry up front with that raspberry, switches to a nice grain and wheat finish. Not overpowering syrup fruit like a lot of American flavored wheat, which makes this very nice.

Bomber thanks to Mike. Pours a mostly clear reddish hue with a medium white head. A nice sweet berry nose. The flavor is mostly clean with grains, earthiness and a big burst of berries. Very mellow overall. Decent.
