As ’Bunny From the Black Lagoon’ - think this has been aliased the wrong way round. Clear deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, modest fine carbonation. Mild lactic sourness. Mellow generic dark fruits. Whisper of something savoury. Smooth finish. A little odd but okay.

330ml bottle from Beer Heroes. Pours dark brown. Nose is herbal, algae, dark malts. Taste is somewhat fishy, herbal, umami-y, salty, dark brett malty. Not really a style I particularly want to re-visit that much.

330ml bottle [as ’Bunny from the Black Lagoon’]. Dark, chestnut brown colour with ruby red glimmer and small to average, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, sulphureous head. Tart-ish, minimally musty, dark malty aroma, hints of blue grapes, a touch of chocolate. Taste is initially fruity dark malty, hints of dark berries, what could be roasted seaweed has a tendency towards ’chocolately’ and ’dark bready’, dry and minimally tart & vinous hints of blue grapes; minimally salty, grassy, "oceanic" finish. Far from balanced, but with interesting and quite unique aromatic adjacencies and transitions.
Bottle in the cottage. Pours deep brown, nose is seaweed, salty, roasted, taste is sweet, umami, salty, funky.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Cola brown. Light haze. Ring of pale tan, lively bubbly head. Nose is savoury. It’s got meatiness that I’m not struck on. Some soy sauce. Not getting much else, really. Taste is light sweet. Light sour. Definitely salty. Palate is a bit slick. Finishes in a similar vein. Not for me, this one.
