Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, orange, toffee, hops, mild liquorice, spicy notes. Flavour is sweet and moderate bitter with a little boozy touch. Body is above medium. Not as complex as Iβd hoped, but certainly a fine caramel orange spiced Barley Wine.

Monthly Beer Share (five of us); Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. 27th July 2020. Cheers Mat for the 330ml bottle of this; BB Dec 2021. Lovely smooth and boozy brew with plenty of things happening in both the nose and taste. Orange body and orange in flavour, my sweet tooth really enjoyed this.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, July 20. Brought by me. Hazed deep orangey amber, frothy off-white head. Sweet caramel nose, and very sweet overall though the two years this has been sat in my cupboard seems to have mellowed the booziness somewhat. Bitter orange peel is prominent, the very faint liquorice joining forces with the malt. Very good.

Draught @ Proeflokaal Arendsnest, Herengracht 90, Amsterdam, Netherlands 1015 BS. [ As Kees / Guineu Big Orange Crush ].Hazy medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, old malt, vintage malt, candy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a long duration, old malt, sweet malt, caramel, vintage malt, candy, orange - orange peel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very sweet. Thick, malty, some hops, little bit of bitter aftertaste. Orange peel is noticable, licorice root not really. Super smooth drinking for its ABV, but some boozyness. Not bad at all, maybe just a bit too sweet and boring.

On tap at Pivoteka, Zagreb. Shared with MlaΔo. Deep amber, lasting but small off-white head with a greenish tint. Strong spicy aroma. Alcohol. Cinnamon, black pepper. Dried fruit and malts. Alcohol a bit too hot and overwhelming. Sweet, spicy, fruity and malty. Very nice balance. Some dark cherry in the finish. Strong, boozy. Full body, soft to moderate carbonation, oily texture. Very lightly tart.
