This is our monument to Chinook, our way of declaring to the world our respect for this giant hop. Where others greyed, Chinook continued to grow and took the spotlight of 2016. We've taken our Pale recipe and amped it significantly to render a beer bursting with juicy grapefruit and mandarin that ends in a mighty blast of bitterness. This is everything we love about Chinook. This is Saigon.

(Keg at Panema Kallio, 20180719) The beer poured deep amber and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pine, fruitiness and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, caramel, fruitiness, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, hoppy and bitter. A clean hoppy pale ale with strong caramel notes.

On tap at Craft Covent Garden. Cloudy amber colour lasting beige head. Looks way over carbonated. Some toffee some hop some pink grapefruit i was expecting more. Sweetish prickly keg carbonation yes its ok hides abv well but a bit too much toffee hides the hop

6th March 2017
Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, just a modicum of sweetness. Spicy Chinook, bitterish too. Orange peel and marmalade. A little fresh orange and orange pith. Bitter semi dry finish. Nicely hoppy but it could of had more body and crispness.
