This one is dark, and has some roast to it. Random adjuncts, especially vanilla. A bit of tartness...I have a feeling that's because it was a deep cut from the Gull Museum. Seems like it was okay at one point but couldn't sit at the back of those shelves forever.

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is sweet chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, chocolate cake, cocoa, hint of coffee and caramel. Flavour is quite sweet with a mild roasty bitterness. Body is above medium. Aroma is fine, lots of chocolate cake. Flavour is too heavy on the sweetness, not easy to drink, bit rough.

(Draught at Mikkeller at Morebeer, Amsterdam, 6 May 2022) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, vanilla, coffee and doughnuts. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, vanilla, sweet espresso, coconut and a mild roasty bitterness. Almost full body, quite sweet. Sweet, but really rich and tasty. Very nice.

Poured from 330mL bottle (bb 22.01.2023; batch 424). Near black with minimal light tan head. Vanilla, touch of chocolate, slightly nutty roast, and some tobacco. Slightly lighter bodied, but decent.

Vanilla and cake. Roast and some coffee. Black pour with good head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Good balance and decent pastry stout. Slightly oily pour. Bottle.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours black, with moderate fine brown foam. Aroma is intense of vanilla, chocolate, molasses, a little burnt caramel. Body is a little sticky, but not thick, with good carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet, which proceeds also in the long final.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver, bb 22 01 2023, batch 424
Dark brown colour. It smells like vanilla extract, a bit of tobacco, cookies/cake. Smooth mouthfeel, moderately sweet, there is a good combination of cacao and pipe tobacco, it's flavourful but not very rich, actually there is some mild alcohol burn; a bit too roasty in the finish.
Good.

330ml (thx Alex for bringing) @ home shared with Alex. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: lots of vanilla with some chocolate notes, maybe some slight corn notes. Taste: along the same lines, not very thick as for 9.9%. Overall: ok.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of raisins, with a touch of cocoa, and a little caramel. Flavour is loaded with vanilla galore, with some dark fruits, and cocoa. Nice vanilla character, though it is a bit over-the-top. Solid.
