Baltic Porter - dark, strong lager which is Polish "treasure beer". Classic version of Baltic Porter (with Plato extract around 20°) is brewed with a few Polish breweries. We, as PINTA, respect a value of Polish treasure but at the same time we go extra mile to create our own vision of classical beer. We are proud to present Imperator Bałtycki (Baltic Emperor) - dark giant made of malts and hops. PINTA Imperator Bałtycki - festive beer.

Bottle 33cl, big thanks to Luksz @ Chmielarnia, Warsaw for offering me one of this bottle out of his private stash. BB 12/Gru/2014.

Aroma has semi-dark chocolate, some cocoa and distant salty licorice & herbal tones. Flavour has salty licorice, some sweet chocolate and sweet, cocoa-like roasted malt tones typical to east European dark beers. Too salty, but still one of the best baltic porter I’ve had. Becomes a bit sticky after some sips.

330ml bottle @ ISKTR 2014
Pours dark brown with a bubbly head. Aroma of roasty malts, grassy hops, licorice, herbal notes and chocolate. Taste is hoppy, roasty and grassy with herbal notes, licorice and chocolate. Finish is hoppy and roasty with some grassy notes, licorice and chocolate. Quite nicely hopped, almost feels like a black IPA.

Bottle, 9.1%. Roasted aroma, hint of cream. Black colour. Good stable dark brown head. The flavour is nicely roasted. Has a good coffee note with a distinct and slight rough barley roastedness. Sugary note. High bitterness, clean enough. Late coffee note.
